The good reviews from this place are from when Dr. Brown was the orthodontist. He has sadly passed away about a year ago and winning smiles is now ran by Dr. Frey. This place has done a complete 360 since Dr. Brown passed away! Starting with the staff... unprofessional and RUDE! They NEVER answer the phone at the hyattsville office and are NEVER welcoming at the front desk when you arrive. If your appointment is at 1PM, be prepared to not be serviced until 1:30/1:45. The ortho-assistants often TEXT on their cell phones in between clients (and the doctor has seen them and said nothing) with the same gloves they use to attend to their patients. They discuss their personal lives between each other while servicing patients and some of the things they discuss are disturbing to say the least. I’ve finally gotten my braces removed and since the removal, I’ve been charged twice to reGLUE (not replace) my “fixed” retainer, which resides on the back of my front teeth to prevent shifting, within a 6 month span due to improper placement and glueing from the staff! ($100) They have changed the name to “Champion Smiles” due to bad reviews on social networks under the “winning smiles” name. Please BEWARE! These people are severely unprofessional & money hungry! They lack simple communication and customer service skills. As a black owned business, i really wish you all would get it together.

I have recently completed my first year of treatment with Dr. Frey and his incredible team at Winning Smiles Orthodontics. Amid my first consultation, I was given clear information and advice as to how to make the process as smooth and successful as possible. I'm not even half way through my treatment and I already see results. The office is very clean and the staff in the office extremely professional, friendly, helpful and influence you to feel relaxed and all around cared for. Not to mention they have great prices. My experience with them has been amazing! I highly recommend Dr. Frey and Winning Smiles Orthodontics!

Easily the most pleasant experience I've had with a practitioner. Dr. Brown and his staff were extremely friendly and always willing to address my orthodontic concerns. Within 13-15 months, my smile was restored and I couldn't be more satisfied. One of the best decisions I've made concerning my oral health!

Dr. Brown is a great Orthodontist. My kids love him. He has been extremely helpful during the entire process. He also made suggestions that would save us money and time. The office staff is knowledgeable and friendly. My kids have great smiles now. I would highly recommend this practice.
